Will Vandergrift. AKA me

Wilz Modz was formed in 2002 by me, Will Vandergrift. I started Wilz Modz, and later wilzmodz.com, because I love developing software. Some may wonder why all of my software is developed in Visual Basic. Sure it may not be the fastest language on the block but it's hard to beat its quick development time. Well anyways, I started writing software back when VB6 was the latest and greatest. Some of my first program combined both of my hobbies robotics and programming. I wrote a few apps that allowed you to wirelessly control a robotic platform powered by the Basic Stamp 2. This software earned the Yale Science and Engineering Award along with the Intel Excellence in Computer Science Award for both 2004 and 2005.

Currently I'm working on a couple of projects including Sketch It! and Sodium Admin. The Sodium project has been a hobby of mine for the past 5 years. It originally started out as nothing more than a way to annoy other people on a school LAN, but has evolved into a full blown network monitoring and control utility. Be sure to check it out in our programs section.

When I'm not on the computer I'm either with my girlfriend of 5 years, Amanda Sheets, or I'm at church where I teach a College and Careers class.
